ETA: Four Months Ago

How Synapse arrived at my house was and still is a complete mystery to the both of us.

All I know is that when he arrived, I thought my mother was going to kill me...

The backyard was a complete mess. It was totaled! Steaming! A gigantic gouge had been carved out of the face of the earth in my back yard. Luckily, I was the only one at home - correction, had been the only one at home - There was a giant robot sitting in my family room. Don't ask how the floor above the basement was supporting his weight, I still dont know. I just know I barely managed to squeeze him through the back door before any curious eyes caught sight of him. Now I know I'm thankful that neither of my next-door neighbors ever come outside.

In my family room, the blue and green robot was in quite a daze. I think his crash landing jostled a couple chips in his processors. After a bit of poking and prodding, he snapped out of it (I ended up pinned to the couch as a result. Really, big robot+small living room=no space to move around in. Sure he's about the size of a minibot, but that's still relatively huge).

I think he was more scared of me than I was of him. Nearly took down the TV cabinet with all his scrambling. Now there was a mess in the living room.

Quiet talking and slow, broadcasted movements eventually got him to calm down and I was able to retrieve his identity.

After that, Synapse, Autobot spy and scout, has been lurking in my life ever since.

Well, at least he helped in filling the hole in the backyard. Mom and dad didn't notice a thing. Thank goodness for ready to lay turf.

In present times, Synapse has settled in quite comfortably in the flat lands of Central Illinois. I have him living in the growing artificial forest behind the house. It's a good thing that his alt-mode is the size of a large fridge and green. No one has really noticed him yet, excluding a few dogs and local fauna. I think my parents know that something's up, but they haven't said a word as of yet. My brother's clueless (as usual) and my sister...well, the first and last time she's seen him so far, she thinks was a dream. (That's not the last time though that Synapse has tried to carry on conversations with me through the computer room window).

Not much has happened in the time span from his arrival to now. Central Illinois is pretty calm and one might say 'boring', but I like it here. Synapse says it's definitely a calmer change from the war-torn zone that he originated from.

Now that I'm getting ready to go to France, I think Synapse has gotten it into his head that he's coming along for the ride too. I know he won't fit into the airplane, but if he thinks that going on a trans-Atlantic flight on his own over some of the world's most populated countries is laying low, he better think again.

Opps, gotta go now. A friend's calling and I've got to make sure that she makes lunch properly. Synapse is currently napping. He knows to stay put when I'm not here...I think.
