Willkommen, Bien Venue, Welcome!

Two posts in one day? Well, today we had a special occasion. Today we (the plural being me, Synapse, and the room crew)...

I guess I should explain who the room crew is. Well, before Synapse came, I had this little curiosity occurring on a regular basis in my room. It started with my first purchase of a Transformer: Autobot Tracks (the Alternators version). Then with Classics Skyfire and finally a slightly beat-up G1 Perceptor. I swear, it's like Toy Story. They're honest to goodness alive...but they only seem to be animate when I'm in the room myself. Okay and perhaps when I'm out of the room too. But they don't move an inch when others are around. They walk, talk, and have mini-adventures in my room. I'm not quite sure if they're the real characters or animated toys. They sure act like the real things though...

Okay, back to the original news. We are welcoming the newest member of our little room crew family. Meet Real Gear Robot Longview! He's handy, yellow, and transforms into quite the cool set of binoculars and looks quite sturdy in robot mode. Perfect spybot. We have the room's first Decepticon (mint-on-sealed-card), but she's not coming out. Nope, she's not for me. I got her as a present for another friend of mine's birthday. Another Real Gear Robot. I think her alt-mode's an MP3 player/recorder.

Longview's taken quite nicely with his new home. He's sturdy and quite small, so I think he'll be accompanying me to France in a few days. I promised Tracks that I'd bring him something special to make it up to him. Skyfire and Perceptor subtly nudged for a souvenir as well.

I think Tracks might be getting jealous of Longview.

It goes like this. I'm sitting on my bed, looking through the web on my laptop. Longview's resting in alt-mode on my pillow.

"Why are you taking him to France?"

I turn to see Tracks pulling himself up the bedclothes and clambering next to me. He plops down in a rather ungraceful manner, rather non befitting to his persona.

"You mean, why am I not taking you?" I grin wryly. Tracks doesn't say anything so I continue. "First thing, you won't fit in my bag very well. I don't want to hear you complaining of scratches to your surface from everything I'm going to be putting in my bag. Second, I don't trust airport security. You might get smashed or something."

Tracks snorts. "Of course. Very sound reasons."

"Look, I just don't want to loose you. I have a habit of misplacing things."

"So you'd rather loose Longview?"

"...you know that's not what I meant."

He snorts again. Really not a gentleman today, my Tracks is. He gets up and sits himself as far from me as possible while still on the bed.

"Look, when I get back, I'll bring yah something special. I promise. Something equivalent to a real car's wax job." I see Tracks's shoulders perk at the mention of a wax job. Sure he's a plastic toy car, but he has his likes. His little red face turns back to look at me.

"Promise?"

"Promise." I echo, tapping his tiny white helm lightly with the pad of my index finger.

It's after that incident that Skyfire and Perceptor find their individual moments to sidle up to me for their requests.

Synapse hasn't said anything about the trip yet, or asked for souvenirs. I honestly think that he's going to try and tag-along with me and my class.
